Second Day at Gen-Con – 2024

Today didn’t differ much from yesterday except for two key highlights. I’ll review those now.
1. Christianity & Gaming Panel: This panel had two agendas: to defend the relationship between Christianity and gaming, and to teach the audience how to evangelize via fellowship and admirable action in gaming. Granted, the object of defense was role-playing games, rather than card games. And I really do not want anything to do with role-playing games.

2. Escape Room. Our family has a tradition of solving an escape room wherever we go in the wide, wide world. The record for this “art gallery” themed room was 19:00 minutes left on the clock. We got out with 13:00 minutes left. Close, but not quite there. It was a great experience.

Quick Notes for Fried Pickle Games:

  • “How Neat is That?” game. Based on the hilarious “Lenny Pepperbottom’s ‘Neature’ Walks”.
  • The best sorts of games have the greatest gameplay. The most successful games have the best marketing.
  • If you’re going to advertise at a convention like Gen-Con, make sure your employees smile.
